I don't really think the NFL will care about this.

The NFL has this advanced technological achievement called contracts. They will literally never once have to deal with his dumbass handlers or parents.

I bet he's drastically overestimating his market value. He needs a team that is an average QB away from a championship to even sniff that number he wants. My guess is he and his dumbass team wrecked his image for maybe 10% more than what he was already getting.

So is Gibson. Apparently he's sick, according to AP and nothing to worry about. He said others are out today due to illness, and that could explain Brazzell being out.

We’d already lost him when this leaked. They wanted more money and we said no. So TN leaked it to get ahead of the story and paint Nico and his camp in a negative light. It was a smart move.

I disagree. The NFL puts a high value on character. They've gotten burned to many times taking big talent but screwed up in the head.

Yup. Anyone comparing this to NFL system is insane. When a NFL player holds out, they do so knowing full well that they will get fined for missing practices/workouts/meetings and with full understanding that they won't get paid if they hold out the entire season. They can't just switch teams to whatever team pays them what they're worth.

Nico opened that door when he reached out to other programs to get an offer.

Not to mention Nico's representation themselves could have leaked the info to try and put pressure on UT to make a move. Certainly wouldn't be the first time this sort of maneuver has been used in contract negotiation.

That is certainly a theory...

I think the NFL does care about the kind of character flaws that get you arrested and suspended. This sort of thing... Idk. I doubt it.

When it comes to stuff like this, everyone has their version of events. Nico will have his side of the story and that will be good enough at the end of the day. And then the GM will walk away from that meeting thinking "Thank God I don't have to deal with his cousin/uncle/dad/neighbor/mailman who's out here pretending he's an agent and demanding more money every two weeks".

Maybe it would matter more if Nico was in contention for the number one overall pick. We are talking about a quiet kid who's gonna go in the middle of the draft.
