You tell him sure, then get him a new one. If you can afford it.

If you actually watch it, he didn’t really hint at anything. He just made a statement that he wouldn’t be shocked if he saw that, but didn’t say one way or the other if he’s heard it. I didn’t take it as him dropping nuggets so much as him just speculating it could happen.

Casey Clausen was a Cali kid. It isn’t that.

IMO, the family got mad because the couldn’t double dip the NIL when Tennessee didn’t recruit Madden. My guess is that Nico goes to UCLA with his brother.

The $4M request and tactics have backfired through in public opinion and with the university. They thought the staff thought of Nico in the light of the greats of Tennessee history. He was nowhere near that.

I think Merk will be good by the time he leaves though.

We can all take solace in the knowledge that - if Heupel and the staff truly believed he was worth it or our season depended on it, we probably would’ve paid.

The fact that we’re moving on lets me know Merk is legit, or we have something up our sleeve.

It sure can. A 145 QBR tied him with Beck at 7th in the conference out of 16 starters. 64% 19 TDs vs 5 INTs.

Could definitely be a lot worse, ex: the backups last year. Let's hope we break even for this year. I have faith Hype won't let us slip too far. We also won't have Sampson. Questions at WR. Tough boat to row this year iyam.

Thank god we got Banks to balance the beam hopefully. Hype is gonna earn every dime on O.

The offense would get worse from a step back in RB play. The stats could be worst from QB play but the driving factor would be teams not having to respect the run as much. Nico did a good job protecting the ball, but was pretty average everywhere else.

I keep seeing USC and UCLA, but Colorado seems the most logical to me. Birds of a feather, soon flock together (Prima donnas Deion and Nico).

I took that more as him saying it wouldn’t be fair to have that conversation right now since it was still up in the air. And he actually said for it to be a starter, they’d probably have to be paid higher than Nico. Again, I took it more as speculation/what-if scenarios than anything concrete is on the horizon. I certainly hope I’m wrong!
