Speak! Heupel Speak!

The fact that the state of Tennessee went to court for Nico so he could be our guy. He signed one of the biggest deals in the infancy of NIL - we put our faith in him, paid him to sit and learn for a year - and he pulls this crap on the eve of the Orange and White game!

How does any of this make anyone come out clean?
It absolutely makes us come out clean and you just explained why….

Where is Heupel today after practice? He should address the media or someone about Nico’s absence today. Would put some clarity to the situation one way or the other, and stop all the negativity IF there’s a legitimate reason. ????
May not be able to

In another thread, I'm wondering if someone from the NCAA, going thru 3d-4th parties, contacted Nico's "people" in the shadows (keeping the NCAA's name out of it} to roil all this up...to get back at UT for spanking their asses in court?

Quite the conspiracy theory you’ve developed there.

Why do it right now? Once he speaks on it one way or the other, if it goes the other way it looks bad on him IMO. Best to stay silent right now and focus on the team.

I expect either before or after the O & W game today that Mike Keith will ask him something like this:
“Coach, would you like to address the Nico situation?”

CJH will either just say…”no comment” or something like “I’d rather talk about the players that are here”.

The facts speak for themselves. The overwhelming sentiment is that Tennessee is in the right? Why does anyone have to speak? Speaking is what you do when you need to convince people to see your side. People are already on our side.

It serves no purpose to speak until there is a conclusion to the matter.

What can you say after your starting QB makes your program the laughing stock of college football?
Rarely do the players make the program the laughing stock. It’s generally the fans that jump to conclusions before they know all the information.

Watch and learn and then you can grow up. It's a divorce plain and simple.
Nico doesn't want to be here and because of that attitude we tell him to move on.
Paying him any amount will not solve the problem.
Some thought he would be here for 3-4 years.
He will end up on the West coast somewhere and will not be the Golden child.
He is talented but he is not NFL Caliber because that takes more than talent, it takes a brain.

It's not a good situation from what I've heard. People are hot and it may not be repairable. If others leave maybe it's better for the long term. Some spring cleaning. I think most reasonable fans are okay with taking short term losses for long term gains.
There is a correct way for a player to communicate with the AD and Staff. Nico/family picked the wrong way. Can not trust him anymore.

Why does have to address anything? He really owes an explanation on this Nico drama to no one outside of the AD
