My Friday evening Jameson thoughts:
1) We went all in to support Nico via suing the NCAA, and by we I literally mean the entire damn state on TN, and this is the thanks we get. That needs to be remembered.
2) At this point, the longer this goes on, the worse it is for him, not us. He was losing the fanbase with the negotiations, but walking out on practice and his team is a hard pill to swallow. I don’t see how that’s repaired, both with the fans and the locker room.

My soul bleeds orange regardless of QB1. Go Vols. f*** Bama. f*** Florida. In Heupel and Danny we trust.

Chris Lowe echoing my thoughts…I think this also has to do with the receiving corps which as of now we haven’t upgraded. Money probably the #1 thing but there are other factors as well.

Idk. The teams that are rumored to have interest are Texas tech, notre dame, ucla and usc. None of them have a better receiving corps than us

Look...he deserves credit for the plays he did make, but you also can't forget the wide open guys he missed in the first half. They had at least two TDs in the first half if Nico just threw a catchable ball. Nico also had that terrible drive killing INT. It's not crazy to think one of the other QBs produces more in the first half of that game. Nico hurt the offense just as much as he helped it.

Nico certainly wasn’t perfect in that game or on the season. But, with Nico you know what you are getting and he’s gives UT their best chance at beating Bama again this season just like he did last season.

I will say, the PR behind this is very damaging for Nico and his team. Whoever calling the shots couldn't imagine this level bad press behind these decisions.

Regardless, until/if he hits the portal, there is time to make this right. I'm going to wait and see what happens.

UT should be weighing all options at this point tho.

I wouldn't play Nico in the O&W game no matter what he says now. You can't rely on him to be here at this point. O&W snaps for Merklinger will be important.

That was a real scumbag kind of scheme right there. And they probably already had it in the works to leave anyway. This is my opinion only: I don't believe they thought that Tennessee would cave and pay the $4M. If they did, they FAFO.

Yea he would have been super nice during the winter…he’d be coming in never seeing a practice or our playbook…it just doesn’t make any sense another than this was planned by Nico’s camp all along to force UT’s hand and it’s looking like it backfired
