All this talk of ponying up the money would make more sense to me from some of our fanbase if Nico was actually a good QB.

CJH can't have it both ways... you're saying he built the team he wants, so it better perform, get to the playoffs, and win a championship because that's what he preaches, so if it doesn't happen with the team you say he is building to do so and win, then it's on him... again, can't keep making excuses and have it both ways... guess we'll see.

CJH recruited and brought in the players he wanted. He was building the team the way he saw fit. When your starting QB bails one day before the spring game because he is greedy, it throws a wrench in everything. Yes CJH deserves some leniency next year. He lost his starting QB and was blindsided by it. No options to pivot to. Most teams would be screwed if they lost their starting QB this deep in the offseason.

It's hard to even care at this point with what's happening all around us and the teetering economy on the brink. College sports don't seem so important rn.

You can’t be a leader and hold the team hostage. When players in the NFL do this there are contracts involved and holding out isn’t the same threat level because of those contracts. Seriously how much is Nico’s Name, Image and Likeness value right now? If we were truly using NIL it would’ve plummeted the past few days. But what is happening in college football is unregulated pay for play, only schools aren’t allowed to demand performance or even play.

It’s a completely insane system and the only winners are the agents and lawyers.
