I can't find anything telling you what sections and exact rows are considered MVP seats... Does anyone know?

The sections are 112-116, and it's most of the rows that are below the concourse. There are a few rows at the top of each section (below the concourse) that are not MVP, but I'm not positive how many. If no one else knows, I'll try to remember to look tonight when I get to the stadium and report back.

They aren't MVP seats...yet. It'll be easier next year because those whole sections will be MVP next year.

Those emails went out over the weekend. $2750 each or beat it. Hopefully UT will relocate the ones that can't but I won't hold my breath.

Yep. I got my renewal this weekend as well. We went ahead and signed up, but got to admit, we paused for a few days with the increase from $5000 to $11,000 ! If any UTAD are out there looking in, let me say this.......be very careful about these increases! Very careful!

I've got a friend caught up in that as well. The constantly shoe horning of more and more 'premium' stuff is well, WELL past old.

I see that fine print at the bottom about "talent fee"

How about this UTAD?
include the sales tax, amusement tax, and talent fee.
Let's not be slimy and hide the true cost.

The actual cost of the "cheap seats" goes from $350 to $433.13.
And this still does not include the past "donations" you had to make to even have the right to give them an even greater donation?

For 38 games the cost for the lower price ticket is $11.40 at 433.13 level. But counting the $100k in prior donations required, the price in incalculable.

The UTAD better hope that UT does not have a bad 5 year stretch.

I did the math. Based on a 38 game home schedule and including taxes and talent fee. The cost of some tickets

Upper Grandstand: $32.57 /game
Field Level $56.99 / game
Club: $84.67 / game
4Tops: $130.26 (the worst deal in sports and seats that we rarely see people sitting in)

that being said, I would still buy Field or Club Level seats if I'm even given the chance to. But, I'm completely different than most of the people out there because I've cared about UT baseball for over 33 years. And contrary to the football donors who are buying the seats now, I will be at nearly every game or will assure someone will be in those seats every game.

Preach, man. The hiding of fees is absolutely asinine.

Their whole approach feels absolutely unsustainable. A bump in the road performance wise for any of several sports, or hell, even a slight dip in the economy and they will be facing one hell of a problem....

The footnote says 10%. Doesn’t that mean the talent fee is $35 on top of the $350 seat? Or have I missed something to get to your example of $433.13.

Also, to be able to get season tickets now are you saying you must’ve given $100,000 to the athletic department?

Next year, the MVP seats will NOT include food in the Lounge. They will be charging for it. That was one of the perks of MVP seats…..
If that’s true, tell them to stick it and get Braves tickets.

I know folks who have donated a tidy sum and still cant buy these tickets. No one around me with season tickets can pay to get them back if they ever lose them.

That is why I will not let mine go as long as I can afford them and will probably just keep giving away the ones I can't go to and selling a few to help offset the price to watch our son sit in the dugout. But it is reasonable when you love college baseball like I do.

So, anyone have any idea what you have to have donated in the past to UT to be able to buy season tickets? It sounds like people are saying that even though there are "donations" listed as well as ticket prices, that the said donation may not get you tickets.

I haven't given to the Tennessee Fund. I have always given to the College of A&S (specifically to an endowment for a scholarship I received at UT.) I suspect the AD wouldn't care that I gave any of that. If I could get it for some tickets next year at some of the lower donation levels listed, I might consider that. What I can't do is drop a thousand bucks on a lottery ticket for a chance at tickets.

Anyone have any idea where the AD stands on this?

Your donation to your college used to count towards being able to get tickets but that changed long ago. Donations only to the athletic department count.

If it were me, I'd just call and ask what it would take. Maybe what's on that chart is enough. Surely most big donors that want tickets have them by now. Maybe some more will open up as they move upstairs into the fancier sections.

If it's the same as football it's 10% over the total cost. If your ticket is 200. and the "donation" is 800, the player fee is 100 bucks, not 20. Then they tax you on it!

I’d call before putting any money down. Season ticket holders near us wanted to move to MVP (two seats) but I was told they couldn’t because they weren’t available. But, I do know some new MVP season ticket holders, so maybe this second couple I know coughed up some dough.
