Tennessee went to bat for him to get paid a record amount at the time for the opportunity to play here. To date, he's gotten a crap ton of money to sit one year and to be medicore another. The fact that he thinks he deserves more is delusional.

IMO this is too far gone for him to stay. He’s lost the fanbase with this move and, per what some have reported on, the locker room as well, and even the staff is fed up with it. I don’t see how you save face here, because at this point the staff/university, if they cave, are saying one man is worth more than the rest of the roster.

Unless I missed things, he never really seemed loved by the locker room anyways. Always seemed like he was just kinda there

Nighthawk is the one who posted that, but it came from a guy in the Trilly Donovan discord who has consistently brought good info there. I’m sure some will doubt it, just as they did his report yesterday that Nico had been sitting out practices. The guy doesn’t miss.

If this goes down like it seems like it will. Wouldnt surprise me in the least to see others on offensive side roll with him. This is just crap for the team, and for the coaches. How can you build and keep a roster when your players have everything to gain and nothing to lose?

I never thought Nico was the reason for our offensive struggles. Seemed like it was playcalling and personnel related. He certainly received national praise for being our only bright spot in the playoff game. I really hope they can work this out.

Clearly the head coach and AD don’t think he is.

so maybe we downgrade a tad bit at the QB position. Maybe.

And we should be able to use that money to upgrade all over the field.

I think it’s done with Nico. I don’t know how you recover from this. Good riddance, honestly. I’ve tried to stay behind the kid but with all of the NIL drama and field performance issues. He’s the common denominator (or maybe his family).
