Shouldn’t be too hard to find out which, if any, UT-based social media account leaked anything inappropriate.
Somebody’s head needs to roll, regardless, be it somebody from the university or his agent. Nobody is bigger than the team.
I will support the Vols regardless of who plays at any given position. The way NIL is done now is a 💩sandwich and the powers that be at UTAD need to get a handle on their end of it. Nico and his dad should do the same on their end.

Right/wrong/indifferent a LOT of fans have taken the On3 report yesterday as an opportunity to give their unfiltered thoughts about his perceived performance last year. I wonder if that could be a part of it.

You get paid $2.3 mil to play and fans spend thousands of dollars to go see you play ... grow up kid.

Nico had 1 game that was under 20, that was the game he got hurt in. So technically, it's not fair to compare the 2 at this time. Let them both get a full season under their belt as starting QBs then compare. Lagway shined at times for Florida but so did Nico.

Ok well the metrics don't back me up, but give me Lagway over Nico especially with all this money nonsense. I feel badly for Nico. This is his Dad driving all this and that's sad. He's gone.

This reminds me of the MLB strike in the nineties. I was an avid Braves fan at the time. The strike broke the spell, though. I think college players should be compensated, but, it will never be the same now Pandora's box is being aired out.

I'm not sure Low would trust the report on "surprised the staff" from a self serving agent without confirmation. Maybe, but Low usually dots his i's and crosses his t's.

Well, then why the heck did we recruit him for what was a unusually large and NCAA upsetting sum of money if Heupel knew we were a run first, just get a game manager team?

I think less but the portal in the Spring than next Fall because a lot of the guys would like to play in the SEC. Nico can go to the B1G pretty easily but not all players have as many options.

A bigger issue is Brandon Faizon saying: Hmm, they'll just let you walk instead of working with you. Lemme ring my agent......

On the other hand. You let Nico fleece you for 4 million now, Faizon will hold you over the fire for triple that in a few years.

Man, the pressure that is going to be on this kid this fall. In the end, I'm sure neither he or his family care. They want the money. Can imagine the boo birds now when he doesn't live up to hype. And boy it's coming.

then maybe we need to start getting our QBs from the portal instead of recruiting high school qbs who are turning out to be complete headaches
