Holding out like this when he's shown only a fraction of this supposed potential. He can go. I wasn't going to jump on that bandwagon, but bailing on practice and on his team? Toxic ass waste of time. He's not worth what he's making now, I don't know what some of you see in him but he hasn't shown me anything that warrants a raise, I'm so over this I'm at the point that I don't even care anymore, if he'll leave here for more money he was never really with us
To me, he hasn't showed that he has earned MORE. He play has been inconsistent and he also, for the first time, has quality competition. If he wants to go, give him a bouquet of roses and wish him well. His numbers don't compare to at least 4 other QBs in the SEC last year and the reports I have seen/read do not indicate that he has greatly improved from last year. In fact, I have the two QBs have been looking really good this the Spring. I would, at least, not worry about doing anything in hast and wait until the Spring game is over. He/his "group" may realize that he might not be as good as they/we thought and want to get as much as they can before next year's draft. No need in throwing good money away when we have talented players lay in wait. This could be a result of us caving in to a player earlier this year. That was a bad pattern to establish and we can expect more problems if we cave again.Asking 4 million to stay
Oh i get all of that but USC doesn't eff around if a coach does not produce. Riley could be another 6 or 7 win season away from being shown the door. UT is in much better shape with Heupel at UT.Their coach has produced 3 number 1 picks . If they come up with the money, he’ll convince himself it’s a good idea.
I'm not even sure anybody's going to pony up. I would love it if he gets busted down and ends up taking less to leave. To me, he hasn't showed that he has earned MORE.
