that aint cheating to me.

yeah gonna watch it... thanks. I love a good game show caper.
Gameshow caper..lol

When I was about 12 years old,Iwatched that Whammy gameshow..I could predict every whammy in the “random” sequence..years ago, I heard others had realized the same thing and it was a big controversy.
Funny how one could subconciously feel the sequence..Amazing that I saw that decades ago just as a kid..really the highlight of my intellectual prowess..lol

A buddy of mine owes the IRS about $30k. If he died tomorrow, could the IRS take that money out of his 401k which is set to be divided between his kids?

Practically speaking at that dollar amount if you have a will, good beneficiaries listed, and keep the estate out the of probate, you should be good...

It's like counting cards. If you can do it, it just evens the odds some against the house in a game of chance; the casino should pull up the big boy pants and accept they get a little rain on their parade. Doesn't mean you control card distribution - just simply you have a better guess about the cards in play - not cheating - just smart play. Same with TPIR in this case; they got out-gamed not cheated. Don't see a requirement that you should go into a game of wits witless.

wait a sec... it sez the Ted guy was in the audience and called out the "perfect bid" to the contestant...

Now that's different. Sorta like conversations at test time in a Rocks for Jocks classroom. That's cheating if it was a collaborative effort and the contestant knew to trust the guy in the audience.
