Hope you're right. At this point, I think Barnes has earned the trust. He's missed on a few guys, but overall, I can't complain about the type of players he's brought in. Hard working, character types. I will always pull for those types.

I definitely agree he’s not going to suddenly sacrifice defense for offense.

Durant has always been a + defender. Even now at 36 years old his defensive box +\- is positive.

It’s hard not to be with his reach and mobility

Yeah that's definitely crazy. He averaged 8 points a game and didn't start for a fringe tournament team. He's a scrappy bench guy who happened to have two good games against us and didn't do a whole lot the rest of the year.

15/5 against Florida and 18/14 against Texas among a couple of other games so let’s not say he didn’t do a whole lot rest of season.

NIL is not funded by the school, so it has no effect. I can’t believe people are still confused by this.

These huge coach’s salaries have to be paid somewhat via donations, probably from the same mega donors supplying the majority of the NIL$. Not a stretch to think those guys view both those the same as support to the athletics programs. Doesn’t seem like he’s confused to me

Yeah they wanted to get bigger down low. They didn't have length at the 5 at all and it hurt them. They reworked their idea of the position to be rim runners and shot blockers. Nicholson is a solid add; imagine they will platoon

Yes. He was adopted in America as someone sent the story in here. Not sure the nitty gritty of NIL so might be a question for @Stoerner Fumbles if him now having an American residency allows him to, but I know he was set up with all the NIL stuff dating back to Ohio State

I’d take him as a Gainey/Brea type guy.

Come in, knock down some shots. 15ish minutes a game for the first season.

I do wish his percentages were a little better…. prob wasn’t the best comparisons either
