The goal should be 8-4 the next two weeks. You do that, you get to 8-11 and you dig yourself out of the hole. Marlins/Phillies/Rays/Jays, 8-4 is doable.

Braves really need to call up Waldrep and either put him in the rotation to deal with the lumps or let him rock in the bullpen. They've got to add more pitching talent right now. Having AJSS/Holmes in the rotation with this pen is a near disaster. They can't be cute; they need to add talent to the staff period.

Agreed. Waldrep needs to be in the pen immediately. They did it with Fried when he first came up. And Waldrep isn't some young kid that needs starts in the minors to develop more. Waldrep is what he is at this point.

The statcast data on his pitches show that he is not a major league caliber SP. His Splitter is his only pitch that is considered plus. Everything else is average of below average and he has poor command to go along with it. His future is in the pen where his nasty splitter can be a major weapon in short outings. Stop beating around the bush and make the transition. Maybe he can continue to work on other pitches and come back to starting later, like Lopez. But he isn't a major league SP right now.

I’m hoping one of Gil, Guanipa and Perdomo prove legitimate.

Guanipa has loud, loud tools but no approach. Gil seems like he’s close to becoming a real prospect and Perdomo has too small a sample size. The hope is he ends the year in Augusta
