How did the offense do last year pre and post Acura? I feel like this just reinforces Acuna winning that MVP over Mookie. He changes the offense by letting good but not great hitters get better pitches.

Acuna wasn't playing that great b4 the injury last year. I don't think we will see a big turnaround when he plays again. Sure, it will help, but there so many more problems

Whether he comes back at full strength or not, he’s at least a legitimate leadoff man. The roster has morphed into Ozuna, Riley and a collection of bottom of the order guys with awful approaches (who were married to because of contract extensions).

I was surprised last night that we didn’t see a squeeze or moving runners with that AAA batting order last night. Bottom line though, as bad as the offense has been, this is about the 3rd time in a week where if the bullpen performs they win. Giving up a bomb on a decent pitch to Ohtani is going to happen, but the complete slop they’re running out there in the 6/7/8th inning is an embarrassment.
