Whoever thought it was funny to not only schedule the Braves for 7 straight road games, but 7 straight West Coast road games vs the best 2 teams in the majors is a cruel person. Any team in baseball would be lucky to finish that road trip 2-5 at best. If I had to guess, the schedule maker is probably a Phillies or Mets fan.

Prolly right. My interweb AI thingy (HAL9000) says only 3 teams in the history of baseball have made the post season after an 0-6 start: 2011 Rays, 95 Reds and 74 Pirates.
I thought the Braves could snag one of the wildcard spots if they were lucky enough to recapture at least some of that 2023 offense but they are just picking up where they left off last year except worse. They won’t even sniff the postseason and be lucky to finish 3rd in the division. There is absolutely zero confidence on this team and I think letting Fried walk while not replacing him with anyone substantial was just the icing on the cake to demoralize their psyche.

Been work hard to get my work shop 100% setup. I’m done modifying my dust collector, all the duct work is up with blast gates in place. I need to build a couple of collection boxes around the miter saw and radial arm saw. I’ll move all the equipment back in place and get the hoses installed this weekend. Hopefully this will help cut down on the saw dust.

Very neat. Are you a master carpenter or wood worker hobbyist?

The SOB needs to be fired. And those who voted along w/this idea should be too.

At least when you feel sad that Braves have no shot, you can realize that’s how other college baseball fans feel now that CTV is the new sheriff in town
The SEC is still competitive and we were co-champions of the conference then went three games vs Evansville in a Super Regional and three games vs A&M. College Baseball is going to be 10x more competitive than MLB. The Dodgers will not face an elimination game all postseason and wouldn’t be shocked if they sweep their way through the playoffs.

Just trying to cheer you up! We can all hope the Yankees are competitive with their juiced bats.

Braves are only winning 5-3 with 3 errors gifted from the Dodgers. Guess they thought they should make things interesting. Max Muncy made a bonehead throw where he could have run to third and stepped on the bag for the final out of the inning. Freddie would have scooped that throw but Kiki Hernandez is playing 1B tonight. Blake Snell gave up all 5 runs, all unearned due to errors…

As a small child, growing up in Shackle Island, TN, in the early 70's, the Cincinnati Reds where the team most supported in my area. You couldn't find an Atlanta Braves fan anywhere. The braves are like bama with a lot of bandwagon fans. Joined about the same time as Smoltz, Glavine, Maddux, Avery.
I was born right as the Braves were getting going in the 90s. Dad was a Reds fan growing up but also rooted for the Braves. So whenever I was growing up the Braves were always on TBS and I just fell in love with them. Reds have a soft spot in my heart though. I’ve always rooted for their success and the Chattanooga Lookouts have mostly been a Reds affiliate my entire life so I’ve seen several of them come up through the minors.
