We essentially lit 50 million dollars on fire this off-season guaranteeing Lopez's 4th year and signing Profar.

The Chris Sale trade gave AA some relief from criticism following a fairly disastrous 2 off-seasons of letting Freddie walk and trading away Bill Contreras for an older, worse hitting catcher. But this past off-season is by far his worst off-season to date.

As has been stated, when you are already DFAing relievers 3 games into the season, perhaps you didn't address the position properly in the off-season. There just isn't an excuse for it. We lost Fried, Morton, and Minter and replaced them with no one.

Brian Snitker was asked if he can explain the offensive rut and if his guys are pressing.

Letting Freddie AND Dansby walk (and not keeping at least one of them) is going to haunt this franchise the rest of the decade.

Probably could have gotten him for 6/$120M before 2022 but you know Alex won't negotiate because's he a moron and doesn't realize that $20M over the life of a contract doesn't matter BECAUSE THERE IS NO SALARY CAP IN BASEBALL

Maybe exaggerating, but Wash leaving might have been just as big of a blow.

Even a casual observer of the team noticed how much the guys loved Wash. How often do they say that stuff about Snit?

It's pretty obvious who the lynchpin was in the clubhouse and who held the team accountable/focused. It sure as hell isn't Snit.

AA wants the Braves to be thought of like the Rays FO, not the Dodgers FO or the Yankees FO (when they were the Evil Empire). The FOs of those teams aren't thought of as brilliantly-run organizations that make clever, shrewd decisions. They are thought of as FOs that have a ton of money, so they outbid everyone else for the best players.

The Braves are not the Dodgers or Yanks obviously, but they aren't the Rays either.

In brighter news, they’ve done a pretty good job with Waldrep’s development. Fastball has legitimate movement now and he’s mixing in a curve.
