Is it true that Barnes is letting our seniors have their time celebrating before he announces any new signees? That seems kinda risky but he's the boss

I for one think that JP will beat out Okpara for the starting spot.

4 guys 6’4” or shorter, I wouldn’t want the other starting spot. Every rebound is on you.

Yeah it is what it is, but those two guys aren't coming here not to start and I don't think you could have Mashack come off the bench.

Despite how great the last few seasons were, I'm quietly optimistic that portal adds + maybe still Able might make the team even stronger. Not to say that E8 was necessarily the ceiling for last few teams, but if TN is aggressive and gets Gillespie/McKneely and the right P5 wing/stretch 4/scoring big, would be as good as any other top team in terms of pure quality and might even be more consistent/explosive than teams past in terms of scoring.

It doesn’t necessarily mean anything but I thought it was interesting. Multiple players that have played 4 years and are out of eligibility have entered the transfer portal. I’m not sure if that is just in case or if they actually feel like the 5th year is going to be granted in time

No need for them to do that. Any class action lawsuit filed by any player for the 5th year will allow any of these guys portal or not to play next year. It makes no sense for ncaa to not give this class the 5th year. Wes Rucker on top of this with what he posted regarding this particular class.

Obviously in portal era nothing is done until they're deals signed and even that doesn't mean much, but Gillespie and Mckeenly look like taking 1,2 guard spots next year . 5 spot mostly set until we hear differently about Cade, JP, Felix. 3 and 4 spots are ones are very open right now. As everyone else in the country wanting a great 3 and D wing and stretch 4 please.

I think if they are granted the 5th year, they want to play somewhere else, specifically referring to the guys in the portal

I feel the same way. If a class gets a 5th year, it would make the most sense for it to be this one to maintain the continuity of the extra year due to COVID eligibility that's rolling off.

I believe Efton Reid was held out of the first 7 games when he first transferred to Wake so he might be trying to get an extra year out of that. Although some were tournament games, Z could technically do the same thing with a “medical redshirt” for tearing his ACL, even though it was at the end of the season. Either way, it’s interesting. We’ll see how it plays out

If UK lands him, that has to help with Alvaro. They have Magoon, and that 5* freshman coming in.

I know Williams is more of a wing but I’d imagine he could also play the 4.

As much as I’d love them back, I’ll definitely enjoy having a PG that’s over 6’0.

I’ll also enjoy having another option that can score more than 5ppg…no offense to Shack.
