Nobody has transferred out to this point, we have 4 returning scholarship players currently and 3 HS players signed, that leaves room for 6 additions currently

Gillespie turned down Pope last night from my understanding. They are trying a NIL offer, but it seems he wants to play for Tennessee because he grew up a fan. Word is almost every team in the top 20 has reached out to him.

It doesn’t necessarily mean anything but I thought it was interesting. Multiple players that have played 4 years and are out of eligibility have entered the transfer portal. I’m not sure if that is just in case or if they actually feel like the 5th year is going to be granted in time

Obviously it’s his coach, but our conversation with him is close enough that they are already drafting NIL terms. Everyone on our end still feels very good.
