Lol, please. Russia wouldn't exist today if the US hadn't bailed them out with foreign aid in the 90s; one of the biggest national mistakes that we've made.

The IMF also continued to loan Russia billions despite the fact that they were using the funds to wage war in Chechnya, keeping their decrepit mafia state afloat while they committed genocide.

Your Russian victimhood fantasy, is just that, a fantasy.

imo there hasn't been a much of that in this thread, there really isn't much to this war... my comments generally haven't changed in 2+ years

Sitting here comfy in the United States reading articles on this war I now don't see a peace deal in the foreseeable future. Trumps 24-hour plan has been out the window for a while and everyone has a different agenda. Ukraine is not Trumps fight (he's making that obvious, Iran?), but if folks are not paying attention it appears to me Europe is doing their best to fill in the gaps. This war still has the potential to blow up.

I can't believe the Nazis deployed 4,800 troops and a Panzer battalion to the front -- and to very nearly the same area from which the northern arm of Operation Barbarossa launched into Russia the last time the Nazis were in the neighbood. Near the (former) castle which was the headquarters of the invading Teutonic Knights and a hop skip and a jump from Lake Peipus where the Teutonic Order invaded the Novgorod Republic. 😂 Another Seige of Leningrad on the menu?

I suppose since several of you'uns act like the Russians are the Soviets, it's only equitable to refer to Germany as Nazis.

I see American Soviet-Pravda is still repeating the lie that "Under the Ukrainian constitution, martial law imposed because of Putin's invasion means there is no obligation to hold another ballot." The constitution says that about the Rada. There is no mention of Presidency.

No Ukrainian President has ever won re-election.

That long list you sent could be handy. But as you know -- if you actually read your own link instead of just asking a chatbox for the thread you could post -- it reads like something your hero Bush II had his staff put together of all expenditures beginning with his Daddy's administration. It's basically a list of (claimed) expenditures by date and legislation -- with no details of program implementation in the field. And you know the devil is in the details.

You'll find a great sample of details in #86,730, if you ever read that. I have come to realize that you don't want to know the facts.

Also, since you are the one who repeatedly made a huge point of the fact that a huge portion of money earmarked by Biden's handlers' for Ukraine actually went to US companies, you should realize without me mentioning it that the numbers you sent don't mean much. Also CIA activities, etc. There's no record of where the money went.

That the NYT would finally admit these facts is sort of spooky, if you think about it. It's almost as if some Americans are killed, the NYT's handlers don't want the story to be that the media lied from the get-go, and why were we never told. #86,729
