Nice win. Nice series sweep on the road! Gotta love road sweeps! This could have been a different game today if the 5th inning went a little differently. You simply cannot load the bases with zero outs and walk away without a run. You’re not beating the Vols like that.

About 20 pages back, some people were talking about who the top 4 teams in the league are, and they included LSU. I might argue a little differently. LSU has a solid weekend rotation, and they’ve got some bats too. The problem though? They’ve got two guys in the pen that are really good, but there’s a massive drop off after that. I mean massive. The pen is honestly terrible outside of Evans and Cowan, and are going to cost them a lot of games this season. They cost LSU a series win against Texas last week. Unless there’s some type of miracle improvement, LSU will struggle against the better teams.

I see it as the Vols at the top of the league. After that, you’ve got (in no particular order), Georgia, Texas, and Arkansas. Just my opinion of course!

Looking forward to coming to LNS for Tuesday’s game. Last time, we parked in the Ag center and rode a bus over. Is that still an option or is there a better one? Didn’t know how construction was going, etc and we haven’t been on campus since last spring. We’re planning to come early and hope to see warm ups and maybe get some autographs. Kind of a ho-hum sweep. It’s pretty obvious we are really missing Kilen’s bat. But we keep stacking wins and the pitching continues to be really good. I mean we barely got into our PB all weekend. That said I’m ready to have Kilen back.
