President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Trump won based on worries of average Americans about the economy.

Since he has won, the stock market, which was doing well, is into correction territory and on pace for the worst quarter in two years. Polls show Americans' rapidly rising fear over unemployment. Inflation escalating under the Trump Tariff Regime....

When is President Musk gonna invade Greenland? All this talk about annexation is a waste of time. Roll the tanks in Elon!

My wife had an opportunity to attend a non-Ivy League but Ivy League "style" school out west but passed it up due to a lot of life circumstances as she was adjusting to being in the US. She always feels a little "lesser" for not doing it.

Not long after we started dating we were part of a project that involved a lot of Harvard kids in our little city. Since that project, I like to remind my wife how those supposedly brilliant Harvard kids were and remind her that they could literally get nothing done when put outside their networks on their own.

The Ivy League prestige may be there for some, but I've only worked with a handful of Ivy League folks that I thought were decent. Coincidentally they've all also come from one school.

MAGA b!tches!

The real economy that effects every day American's have gotten better. I went grocery shopping Tuesday and prices are down. I bought most of the same things I bought a month ago and it cost around $140 then Tuesday it was $101.35.

Gas prices have also dropped significantly.

Hey Siri, explain to dumbdumb the difference between a slowdown in inflation and deflation.

I see this time and time again. No concern from MAGA until it directly and acutely affects them. Only then do the tear ducts well up, to which I say: FAFO.

This reminds me of Dems complaining about the increase of gas prices when Biden was elected.

It’s there because Ivy graduates are part of the ‘elite’ class and run the country, irrespective of intellect. You can get a lot of mileage out of what would be a worthless degree at Podunk U. Ivy League Grievance Study majors end up as department heads and high level administrators.

5ish years ago the WSJ did a salary comparison of Ivy vs Non-Ivy, stem vs non-stem majors. They found that stem salaries were comparable between Ivy and non-Ivy graduates. (the laws of physics work at state schools too) The big difference was liberal arts where there was a definitive payoff for getting an Ivy League degree.

Take GWB or Obama. They got the blessing and pedigree but they would be the last people you would want running a hotdog stand.
