Recruiting Football Talk VIII

My wife always says I’m not spontaneous or creative—unless it involves terrible jokes. So, I decided to prove her wrong and got my first tattoo. Since I’m not very creative, I just had them tattoo a picture of my thermos from work. I got home, all excited, and showed my wife. She stared at it, completely confused. After a while, she reached out to touch it, and I immediately yelled, “Don’t touch the thermos tat!”…She might be leaving me now.

NCAA tournament games tonight.

Florida vs Michigan ( hopefully a meteor hits)
Alabama vs BYU. I'm picking the Mormons
Texas Tech vs Arkansas. I'm riding with the Red Raiders.
Arizona vs Duke. Really don't care which team wins this game. Just going watch to see Cooper Flagg play.
Florida is playing Maryland... Definitely rooting for the terps

You're way overthinking it lol. These Karens are not clever and conniving social masterminds who are intentionally gaming the system. They don't "know how to play the game." They're just entitled jerks who throw a fit in any situation where they don't get their way, and in some cases businesses acquiesce just to avoid the hassle of fighting with them.
Not overthinking it, this is the research. Probably about a decade old now, vague memory reading about it.

That said, we're talking 2 slightly different concepts and that's my bad for muddling.

1) Middle class kids are more often taught negotating skills at home, which then transfer to the real world as adults. This is where you get a class of folks that understand the game at hand and that rules aren't always definitive.

Otoh lower economic status children are more likely to be taught that "rules are rules" and to be obedient, rather than negotiating or being confrontational.

2) Yes, true and udder Karens are not clever. They just feel undeservingly entitled. That said, they did learn the game...unfortunately they took it to a stupid level that marginalizes other people. In fact, they became so bad at it, they became completely transparent to society as a whole.

What I don't understand is how he thought that was a legit argument. Yelling that he could not have seen it and he wants him to change the call to a bare-handed caught foul tip? Quite possibly the stupidest hill to die on of all time.
Bama affiliation confirmed. Stupid as an elephant turd. Expects the call. Not getting the call is “bad officiating.”

Thinking about taking my son to the spring game. I've never gone to a spring game, so any suggestions on good parking? I'm sure there are much better options than for an actual game.
Park at the State Street garage for free and either catch a trolley or walk down to the game. Get there early and hang out in Market Square or downtown or just stroll on over for pregame stuff.

We’re taking our crew. I can’t wait. Will be the first visit to Neyland for the younger kids. Looking forward to it!

Rodgers more for being a jerk. The vaccine thing he’s been vindicated imo. Favre with the amateur camera work and the fraud accusation hasn’t.
Rodgers never takes the blame for anything, it's always the receiver ran the wrong route or the OL can't protect him. At least Favre knew he was a Gunslinger ...
