Marvel Cinematic Universe

Falcon and Winter soldier got a lot of hate from comments I read, but it was one of my top shows. It, and Hawkeye, were my 2 favorites, but I guess it's all in taste. Loki was a hit, but I had to make myself finish it.

I liked it but I thought even with just 6 episodes they seemed to have had to stretch it out. I think it might have been better as a 2.5 hour movie or just a 2 part mini-series with each episode about a short movie length.

I also thought they had to do way too much nerfing and plot needed power sliding to make the terrorists a real threat. They had the super serum but even still they were bunch of young people who were not experienced fighters. So even if they had the strength they didn't know how to fight so Bucky should have wiped the floor with them. That's the thing I hate about superhero movies, they are never consistent with the powers, they scale them based on the situation.

Anyone watching the animated Spider-man series? Kids and I are enjoying it.

Thought it was curious how it implies Spider-man wasn’t part of the airport kerfuffle in Civil War. Whoever voices Doc Ock is perfect.

Seems like it’s an alt reality that is close to the MCU but not exactly the same.

I really liked the animation style and the story telling was pretty good. Didn’t love the tweak to his origin but I can roll with it.

Kids loved it. They said it’s the best Spidey cartoon ever.

Yeah. That’s what I figured re the alt timeline/reality.

Same with my kids. They were glued to it and moaned and groaned when I had to shut it down for dinner. We’ll watch a couple more episodes tonight. It was fun giving them a little background on each of the new villains as they were introduced. I like how it leans into the complexities of Spider-man’s rogues gallery.

Went to see Brave new world with my daughter earlier. My honest take, at first I just wasn't buying it, the first fight scene at the church. Before anyone freaks, not because he's black😆, I liked the choice. It may sound weird, but it felt forced, like trying to hard. His fight scenes as falcon seemed more "realistic ", than that one at first. I loved the story from the start, to the finish, and the fighting got more "realistic " to me as the movie went. Except for fighting the red hulk, I know he had the special suit, and the shield, but hard to imagine him surviving without the serum. That said, I enjoyed the fight, just think he needs to do the drugs😆. I do like the closure with Ross, and the sidekick they have for Captain America. I'd pay to watch again, and look forward to the next one. I get him being normal is what makes him in fact him, but I still think they should give him the serum, especially if he's got aliens coming next.

I've not seen it but I assume it's because no one remembers that he was?

The cartoon isn't the MCU Peter Parker, it's "Multiverse" now.

I read that originally it was going to be considered a prequel series to Homecoming but they realized they were boxed in on certain storylines and characters because of how the MCU and the other Spider-Man games had gone. So they decided to make it a multiverse type series.

So far digging the new Daredevil show. They've kept the same gritty feel of the original. It's not quite as gritty but it's close. They've done a pretty good job imo making it feel like an extension and still be a bit of a soft reboot.

I did like Fisk name dropped Spider-man, because in a perfect world he'd make appearances on this show.

bigger fan of the series so far, less Karen, less buddy. NF Series spent more time on backstory, was slower, but more time with big bad and DD. So far, been less than thrilled with that aspect.

Specifically the Courtroom.

its always bothered me how they say "exclusively in movie theatres July 31, 2026".

to me it reads more like "only in theatres this one day", instead of "publically viewable in theatres starting this day".
