President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I've mulled this over for a while. I don't agree. If the admin or Hegseth says it isn't classified, or not war details, then they cannot find fault with a reporter who takes the exchange public, can they?
wasn't the classification mentioned in the chat? Isn't that what OPSEC means/refers to?

Which probably violates the presidential records act.
This is about the only reason for the usage of Killary’s private email server and non approved messaging apps. They obviously circumvent the cataloging and archival process. Their usage is not congruent with the notion of a “transparent and accountable” administration.

OPSEC is just an acronym meaning operational security. The “what and how” of a mission plan if you will is OPSEC. I can’t think of a case where that kind of information pertaining to a military operation would never be classified.

I don't know. I just picked up the convo this morning. The article I read didn't mention specifics of the chat or OPSEC.

What does it mean?

Exactly.

And if the administration wants to prove their position and embarrass Goldberg, why don't they just release the chat? After all, it's not classified.
Is that a one way street in your opinion? Couldn't JG do the same?

But is there a hierarchy such as:
Confidential
Secret
Top Secret
Classified
"For your eyes only"
Only the first three are actual classification levels. There is another level now called CUI which stands for Controlled Unclassified Information which loosely fits your “for your eyes only”. In the past CUI was mostly called FOUO which means For Official Use Only but that label has been superseded by CUI

ETA: IF the chat actually contained no classified information the obvious label to apply to the entire exchange would be CUI

I have to wonder, how do you "accidentally fat finger" putting Jeffrey Goldberg in that chat?

I don't believe you do accidently add him. Why would he be in any of the participants immediate contact list considering his history with POTUS?

Yeah, but the admin has came out and publicly claimed no classified information was shared in the chat so he's free to release the entire thing.

As I mentioned the investigation might actually revolve around this... (I have not verified from another source)
