To get a family visa in Peru- not a residence, mind you, just a visa letting me stay more than 6 months- I, as an American, have to prove I am financially stable AND go through multiple background checks, AND have my paperwork exactly in order including a copy of my marriage certificate that is no more than 3 months old.

AND pay through the *** to have every page of the paperwork processed, as well as every other minute action the gov't takes to accept you.

They make a huge profit off of your attempts to become a resident, much less put up a phone app inviting you in illegally and then immediately putting you on the taxpayers' teet.

Think from the premise that the prior admin let in millions of unverified immigrants lost who just filled out an app. Again with no verification and many have missed those dates...thier once legal immigration status has been revoked making them illegal..Trump has given them a chance to self report and still have a chance to return legally...if not then they are making a choice to risk it and get deported...also asylum seeker don't not cross several countries seeking asylum....
