What do you propose sending trillions to Ukraine? Sending all of our weapons. That obviously isn't working. You cannot come up with anything else. You just call everyone Putin stooge. But you're afraid to push what is really needed. And that's American and NATO boots on the ground

You are correct in one aspect, trickling hardware to them was a terrible idea by the Biden administration, we should have given them the weapons in the quantity required to defeat Russia, not stalemate them.

Putin isn't going to stop because trump verbally fellated him for 2 hours. I know you want to believe that he will, but he won't.

When you subscribe to the theory that all things orange man bad, you tend to have some really peculiar takes. There are a lot of Democrats that would prefer the war continue rather than President Trump get credit if his efforts end it. They can't tell you an alternative plan for peace nor can they state a plan that has Ukraine winning without American Troops getting involved. Yet they still would rather continue giving Ukraine billions and have the killing continue. A lot of these same people ignored science and reason when President Trump said the Virus escaped from the Wuhan Lab. It's also the same phenomena that renders Democrats unable to stand and applaud for a kid fighting brain cancer. These people are incapable of rational thought when President Trump is involved. TDS is real and several people who post here have a severe case of it.

Ukraine doesn't have the bodies in the end. If another nation committed troops on the ground in significant numbers, then Ukraine would have stood a better chance of reclaiming more of their lost territory, hell, they probably would push Russia out...but that is unlikely to happen. I mean, if a larger nation like the U.S. wanted to bring it's Airforce to full brunt then Russia would be screwed...they lose in this World War I type of war... but then, is Ukraine worth the prospect of nuclear war? Hell no. Both nations ability to fight a large scale war over the next decade plus will be basically snuffed out because of personnel losses and equipment losses. In the end, we as a nation would be blessed to be friends of both of these countries. Rare earths from Ukraine, and fertilizer, lime, and aluminum from Russia. Let's get it done.

There never was a plan, it was collapse Russia or bust. Now its about tricking the U.S. into getting involved i.e. WW3. Its just nuts talking about nut things.

This war is more or less over, the only thing that we are awaiting on is the final tally.

The question isn't if we can save Ukraine. The question is how far are we willing to go to save what we can of Ukraine. There is no leverage to negotiate with, Zelenski and Ukraine have lost the war. The only way they can continue the fight past a few more months is large influx of soldiers, Russia knows this, we know this, all of Europe knows this........ You know this.

Would you risk American soldiers by the 10's of thousands for this conflict? That's what it would take. I would not send my daughter's generation to fight this war, much less risk a wider conflict possibly including nuclear weapons.

We find ourselves in an impossible situation. I didn't think Trump is the best person to navigate this but that is beside the point. I don't think he is wrong in seeking to avoid broader conflict however.

I'm curious to know what you would like to see happen here? What would you do if you were in power right now?

If either of my sons were drafted to be sent to the Ukraine war, I would do everything possible to prevent them from going.

And, as long as they are required to register for selective service, a draft remains a possibility (albeit a remote one).

I answered that earlier.

Since immigration is apparently such a benefit to a country, and offers cheap labor...?

At the very least Ukraine could offer to take all of the suspected TdA members who can't be proven to have committed as crime. Ukraine says that they are the only other country besides El Salvador that will take them.

The draft is still enacted, proving their void in the workforce for war industry.

It provides jobs for immigrants in a job market with too few men to fill them.

I've heard that's how it's supposed to work. Cheap work where needed.
