I agree. My untrained eye sees a quarterback with a lot of talent. I think if he played for Bama, Georgia or OSU he would be the unquestioned top pick. Anyone with a brain that watched Will Levis actually play football knew his chances of success in the NFL were EXTREMELY low. The reality is success in the NFL is hard to predict and the team you go to plays a big role. The Titans have been a dumpster fire so the hill is very steep. They almost have to take the chance he’s the guy unless another team offers a lot for the pick.
I think Arch or Nico could be the #1 ovr qb next year talent wise. Id like to see the titans trade the #1 pick with the giants and get their 1st rounder next year, since imo it will be the #1 ovrA real #1 overall QB is rare, imo. Maybe every 3-4 years, maybe longer.
Cam Ward drives a squatted Toyota Tundra. . .
Dak wasn't a first round pick but has started from Game 1 and had a great rookie year. I say Dakota has had a pretty good career overall just can't win in playoffs.
Well then he would be an MVP, super bowl winning type of QB.
Aaron Rodgers wasn’t really considered that…more an upside to be determined quantity. A weird draft (kind of like this one) where if he wasn’t the number one overall to a QB desperate franchise, he was going to drop in the first round to borderline second. So Niners bit on Alex Smith instead and he dropped to a team with an entrenched HOF QB.If Cam Ward is "prime Russell Wilson" good for 10 years, draft him #1 and run with it!
It's worth it!
Also.......the last 3 "generational/can't miss" QBs (Luck, Rodgers, Lawrence) have 2 combined SBs and 1 win!
The Titans have no choice but to draft him. I think it's been the obvious pick the whole time. Dude has every tool the NFL looks for and this narrative against him only exists, because he has made a handful of risky plays.I agree. My untrained eye sees a quarterback with a lot of talent. And the next step? Can he perform in the playoffs?Didn't say Dak was a first round pick, the highest drafted QB was listed first (most were 1st or 2nd picks) the rest were just the other good QBs from that draft class.
Dak as a 4th rounder has been insane value for Dallas. Would also agree he's had a good career so far. 76-46 and averaging 67% for 4300 yards and 30 TDs over 17 games is damn good.
The Titans have several needs, so i'd trade the pick for more draft capital and sign a veteran QB. Next year would be a better time to draft a QB, as this year's class doesn't seem worthy of a first round selection.I'm still of the belief that the Titans are going to draft Carter #1 and the Ward talk is all smoke and mirrors
