There is no sense in playing the game if its not going to help your seeding. AU has lost 3 of their last 4 and will still be the overall #1 seed?If that is the case, why play the game? Makes no sense. UT would get two high end Q1 wins, if they hypothetically win the SECT.
To me, the team that advances the furthest between Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee should get the 1 seed.
If we beat Florida tomorrow, we have 2-1 head to head over them, and our resume will have 10 top 25 wins to their 6. How are we not the 1 over them?Not sure which team I want to play tomorrow. I have a feeling that if Florida wins they'll get the last spot regardless if we beat them, but if Bama wins we will get the last spot if we beat them.
It's dumb, but I think that's what's going to happen.
I don't see any possible way they could justify putting Bama over us if they beat Florida and we beat them in the final. Our resume is flatly better and we'd be 2-0 against them.
