College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

I'm not a doctor, but an xray is not likely going to reveal or diagnose a sprain. A sprain is a tissue (ligament) injury. An xray would reveal a broken bone, but an MRI would be necessary to reveal the extent of ligament damage.
He’d have to have an MRI to see the extent of any ligament damage. X-rays only rule out a fracture.

I'm just waiting for the day they play on actual green screens with constant revolving advertisements cycling thru.

It's been while but the moment that stuff started to really get to me is when they started sponsoring first downs in football. It was a Titans radio broadcast and Mike Keith said something like "That's a First American FIRST DOWN!".

She said initially that it was broken bc he couldn’t put any weight on it . I haven’t spoken to her since . Judging from the fact there wasn’t a brace, ice pack, it wasn’t elevated and the overall positive body language I think he’ll be back. That may not be this weekend, but I’d expect he’ll be back by next weekend.
Tell your Doctor friend that not being able to put weight on an ankle doesn't necessarily mean it's broke.
I'd say most of us have had a bad sprain we couldn't put weight on for sh!t. I know I have.
Very similar injury to Flagg, too. I came down on a curb instead of a foot, tho.
Mine swelled up like a balloon though.
I was waking on it within a couple of weeks or so, but really shouldn't have been. Definitely wasn't healed enough for basketball play.

His looks a lot less serious than mine. I think he's back for sure in 2 weeks. Tops...

North Carolina is set up to win ACC tournament...
saw this update on Brown (not good)

Following Duke's win against Georgia Tech, head coach Jon Scheyer provided an update on Maliq Brown's shoulder injury. It isn't good news for the Blue Devils, who play UNC or Wake Forest in Friday's semifinals.

"Maliq was in a lot of pain," Scheyer said. "He re-dislocated his shoulder. We got him a stretcher just to tolerate the pain. He's in a lot of pain. He's at the hospital now."

I was responding to VolGee4, who said he thought a negative x-ray meant negative for bone and ligament/soft tissue damage.
Well, I knew that. But I also like to do my research on something that I’m not an expert. I read that extensive/severe damage that isn’t a bone fracture can sometimes be caught on an x-ray. I know that a sprain can be a slight tear, so it doesn’t have to be severe.
