He’d have to have an MRI to see the extent of any ligament damage. X-rays only rule out a fracture.I'm not a doctor, but an xray is not likely going to reveal or diagnose a sprain. A sprain is a tissue (ligament) injury. An xray would reveal a broken bone, but an MRI would be necessary to reveal the extent of ligament damage.
I'm just waiting for the day they play on actual green screens with constant revolving advertisements cycling thru.
Tell your Doctor friend that not being able to put weight on an ankle doesn't necessarily mean it's broke. She said initially that it was broken bc he couldn’t put any weight on it . I haven’t spoken to her since . Judging from the fact there wasn’t a brace, ice pack, it wasn’t elevated and the overall positive body language I think he’ll be back. That may not be this weekend, but I’d expect he’ll be back by next weekend.
saw this update on Brown (not good)North Carolina is set up to win ACC tournament...
Well, I knew that. But I also like to do my research on something that I’m not an expert. I read that extensive/severe damage that isn’t a bone fracture can sometimes be caught on an x-ray. I know that a sprain can be a slight tear, so it doesn’t have to be severe.I was responding to VolGee4, who said he thought a negative x-ray meant negative for bone and ligament/soft tissue damage.
