I hate cats. I’m sorry cat lovers. I used to love cats, until my parents. Long story. I’m a dog lover, and can’t wait until we get to ‘dogs of VNF’ offseason edition.
That's not true. You love cats. I've seen you post pics before.

Bonds was talented. But he cheated.

His talent end to end doesnt compare to Shotei. Hitting AND pitching at that level?!
From ‘90-‘96 Skinny Barry put up (4) 9-Win seasons, and averaged 9.6 Wins per 162 games played.

From ‘18-‘24 Shohei Ohtani put up (1) 9-Win season, and averaged 5.4 Wins per 162 games played.

*Translation: The gap between Skinny Barry and the avg MLB player was much greater than gap between Shohei and the avg MLB player.

Even Shohei’s 50-50 season only rated a 9.2 (due to the inflated league-wide numbers) - Skinny Barry put up 9.0, 9.7, 9.7, & 9.9

So I read an article that seemed to say Heupel was hiring James Cregg to help coach the OL. Is that true? Wondering if the author of the article was on shrooms?

Purely for conversational purposes - I wonder if we see Levi in the 3 hole and Ensley hitting 5th at some point
I’ve been saying for a while now they need to move Levi up.

Yes - put him in the 3 hole (where he belongs).

More ABs = more opportunities to help the team win. He’s too good to be sitting down in the 5 imo.

I'm not a stat nerd so I could care less what those numbers mean. All I know is this. Barry Bonds in his prime was so good he only saw maybe one pitch a game that was in the strike zone and he usually hit it into space. The guy was so must see that ESPN would regularly cut into his at-bats in the middle of SportsCenter. Nobody playing the game since then has had that sort of impact.

Shohei is nice but he doesn't compare. Only player close to Bonds is a prime Ken Griffey Jr.

His bat to ball skills were off the charts.

Unfortunately, the contact he made after putting the bat on the ball is tainted (during the time period you are referencing).

The greatest tragedy of the juiced era, imo, is that we’ll never know how great he would have ended up. And he is to blame.

Exactly correct. "Fat Head" screwed his own legacy by being petty and juicing because all these other players were and getting the spotlight instead of himself.
