Department of Government Efficiency - DOGE

Are we concerned that a facilty has cia secrets in the physical structure?
I mean, we can sell a building and the cia personnel, files, computers, etc can move to another (if needed). Right?
They have to be outraged about everything donchaknow. We are talking about downsizing their beloved government

Apparently some very strong disagreements between Trump cabinet members and Musk. Going out on a limb and saying I don’t think Musk will be with this administration past year one.
Not sure if that media report is accurate. He will be finished with Doge by July 2026 and he has pretty much burned the bridge with Dems, so I doubt we see a big fallout.

What they need is a very rare configuration. I doubt they could repurpose a vacant Long John Silvers to fit their operations.

Have we not been told, since covid, there is a glut of commercial space available that isn't a fish n chips franchise?
Are any of us privy to the occupancy rating of currently Fed owned or leased buildings? Perhaps consolidation to a underutilized facility is in the works.

My understanding of this. Is that these buildings that were listed were actually unknown that they were CIA structures. And the whole point of listing them was to a pull them back and be too expose the fact that they're running CIA operations on soil unknown to the government which is technically illegal. So it's eroding even more trust in the CIA etc..

Possibly. July 2026 is a ways off. I’m not even worried about burning that bridge with Dems, they’d add 10,000 more employees and $5T more in spending if they could. If Elon is just giving recommendations on reductions in staff and elimination of spending items, etc., then I think it would be wise for those recommendations to be examined by Amy Gleason (acting administrator of DOGE and UT grad) and the DOGE subcommittee more carefully so we don’t go through the whole routine of unnecessarily laying off qualified and needed people in our agencies and then having to repeatedly backtrack to get them reinstated.

I’m looking further out to the 2026 midterms…which has often produced a flip of either the House or Senate many years after a Presidential election. The House will most definitely be in play. A methodical and practical approach would go a long way for the Trump admin.

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside a Tesla dealership in New York City, opposing Elon Musk’s role in government job cuts under US President Donald Trump. Similar “Tesla Takedown” protests happened nationwide, with people blocking traffic and holding signs. Musk leads Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has fired thousands of federal employees and cancelled contracts. Police arrested nine protesters at the New York rally as tensions rose.

Tesla Vehicles, Charging Stations Targeted As Protesters Denounce DOGE, Elon Musk

Destructive incidents occurred recently in Oregon, Massachusetts

Tesla car owners, dealerships and charging stations have been targeted nationwide in protest against electric carmaker CEO Elon Musk and his involvement with the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which aims to slash wasteful spending and fraud within the federal government.

An Oregon Tesla dealership, located 10 miles south of Portland, was targeted by gunshots Thursday, damaging multiple cars and shattering windows, The Associated Press reported.

Earlier this month, a man was arrested after Molotov cocktails were thrown at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon, the Salem Statesman-Journal reported.

In Massachusetts, several Tesla charging stations were set on fire.

When firefighters arrived, multiple Superchargers were "engulfed in flames and heavy, dark smoke," according to Littleton police. More than half a dozen chargers were damaged.

RFK Jr's HHS Grants Elon Musk's DOGE Access To Vast Child Support Database With Revealing Income Info

Elon Musk's DOGE has been granted access to a sensitive child support database by the Department of Health and Human Services.

The landmark move was approved by the HHS, now headed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., despite protests from career employees within the department, according to the Washington Post.

The huge government database contains swaths of personal income data from Americans across the country, and it was initially created with the intention of enforcing child support payments.

An HHS official told the Post that DOGE agents requested 'read only' access to the database, and were required to take 'necessary trainings' before they were allowed into it.

The official said the Administration for Children and Families, which oversaw the database, 'supports DOGE’s efforts to improve efficiency and data quality to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in federal programs.'
