Lol, JD said today they aren't changing their sales projections for 2025 because Canada only buys 1% of their products. Tennessee certainly isn't worried about "being in Canada's cross hairs".Tariffs don't work. Our moron President doesn't know history, so here we are... doing stupid ****.
Tennessee is in the cross hairs of Canada now. But Mexico is next to reciprocate. Guess who will feel the pain here...
Jack Daniel's maker says Canada pulling US alcohol off shelves 'worse than tariff'

I just mentioned the facts little buddy. Don't care what his, yours, or anyone else's personal opinion is. FACT is they're not lowering their sales projections. Why'd you leave out what he said about boycotts?

Jack Daniel's CEO: Boycott worse than tariffs | Sweden Herald
In several Canadian provinces, store owners have removed USA-manufactured alcohol from the shelves as a response to Donald Trump's new trade tariffsswedenherald.com
So now you're changing your post to include "Mexico has Tennessee in the cross hairs"? Bwahaha, JD will be okay anyway you (or anyone else) want to spin it. They're a staple world wide.Mr Whiting said Brown-Forman was going to see what happens in Mexico, which accounted for 7% of its sales in 2024.
You gotta be fkn kidding me
How many people can 43 pounds kill though?
A lot of this is about Canada cozying up with China recently. Can't open call this a trade war..... But that's what this is. I assume Trump is only seeking more concessions from Canada and reassurances......... Not a fan of the means but I'm sure much quieter dialogue has been discussed in the past.
Trump's an idiot, what can I say. But he's not completely wrong here either.
I see what you're getting at.It doesn't kill people any more than guns kill people. I have zero fear of ever dying from fentanyl
I don't think it necessarily runs them off so much as it is a reset. This has no bearing on the point. The point is that it's not reasonable to have a trade war over a number that you can't expect to improve.
If we are doing this because Canada is cozying up to China, then why the hell would our solution be to run them off and chase them into China's arms? We are so so dumb
Victims of gun violence are aware of what's happening? A 4yo recently shot and killed himself and I doubt he knew what was happeningI see what you're getting at.
I would counter with this though, often those who are taking fentanyl aren't even aware. Those using firearms aren't duped in a like manner.
But much the same with guns people are going to use it, intentionally or not. Maybe we should come out with a less lethal semi-automatic form and ban the fully automatic fentanyl.
That's worked out well for us hasn't it?
Out of curiosity where do you stand on recreational drugs legality?
If you didn’t know better, you might think this is a great investment opportunity for wealthy people in the know. Announce tariffs, buy shares at deflated prices; suspend tariffs, sell shares after the reboundEvery time the administration announces a tariff plan and the market tanks by 1 to 2 percent, they back off and claim it's a strategy. Then they do it again.
Then they do it a third time.
And a fourth.
Sorry, but it's not looking like there's any strategy other than to cajole world leaders into kissing Trumps butt, then we say they're safe. For now.
There's no coherence to this, at all.
