Having said that, the Dems predictably handled this very poorly, especially with the not being willing to applaud folks who deserved it. I think it reflects the reason I dropped my party affiliation, and that is that the leadership of the Dem party is undisciplined and so caught up in being anti-Trump (which believe me, I get) that they can't help but maker a spectacle out of their disdain for him even when that spectacle boomerangs and makes them look bad.

They need to let the social issues go for the moment and focus on what worked last election cycle so well for the GOP, which is the economy. I heard so little from pre and post debate commentary about the tax cuts favoring the wealthy and just ephemeral, non specific talk of rising prices.

They need to get specific. They need to show projections of what the tariffs could cost, depending on how far the potential trade wars might go. They need to show proof that the back and forth on tariffs, having them for 48 hours and dropping them, how that wreaks havoc in the markets and makes us vulnerable. They need to show drops in value of 401k's caused by Trump's mania about economic policy.

Fact is, everyone at this point knows that Trump lies a lot and is prone to unjustified hyperbole, which often gets him into trouble. Its long past time to stomp your feet and yell that he's lying, its now time to show the effects of the lying on our daily lives.

The only "plan" they have for the economy is fire Musk, and tax the rich. And the rich = errybody.

I kind of hate to admit it, but he seems to be knocking it out the park so far. I think Trump really believes the GOP can gain senate seats in the midterms while holding the presidency. If the red wave happens, we'll find out how much control of the GOP he really has.

I don't know. He kind of has a bad habit of of sometimes supporting bad candidates if they kiss his rear-end before anyone else. I think Kemp will run for Senator in Georgia and Ossoff will be a one-term wonder so there is a very likely pickup.

Kemp will be an interesting piece.

He isn't a trumper, but because he is red, the dems pretend like he is. He won't kiss the ring, so will probably get primaried by someone who does.

his run at governor hasn't been flawless, but the damage hasn't been because of partisan hackery from his office.

Buddy, they removed the funding from their bill. They literally cut the funds for childhood cancer.

Gullible is believing everything Trump says, seeing the reality of his decisions, and denying it because he said things are good.

Kemp has been a surprisingly good governor. He would be a great choice for senator if he doesn't have presidential ambitions yet. I read that Lucy McBath is looking to go for the dem nom for governor. She'd be a pretty formidable opponent being the media darling she is.

They literally cut it from the spending bill, then after backlash it went through standalone. Other provisions have not.

Why would they cut that in the first place?

It's literally in the links posted that you obviously didn't read, but opposed as me being "gullible"...however that makes any sense.

It had nothing to do with standing up, yelling and waving a cane at POTUS. His voters need better in 2025. He’s not even the cool Al Green either.
