President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

So you're against infrastructure funding for rural communities. Got it. You're calling it punishment. I think it's more...you're a part of society and everyone pays their fair share -- which doesn't mean everyone pays the exact same dollar amount.
I realize it’s easier for you to misconstrue my position into a more preferable strawman to attack - but that’s not what I said.

Also not at all surprised to hear you champion essentially what is - From each according to his Ability, To each according to his Need

How about instead of laughing at this terrible situation, you advocate for better relations with our neighbors and allies who fear our dipshit POTUS

Bruh...

If you can't laugh at the absurdity of such a comment there's something wrong with you.

Do you honestly think anyone in the British government would even consider using nuclear weapons to protect a member of the Commonwealth against Bad Orange Man knowing full well we could turn their entire island into a glass parking lot?

Relations are fine and this whole thing will die down in a couple of weeks after negotiations get under way. Canada and Mexico will get to save face in some way by getting something from us, Trump will announce the greatest trade victory of all time in some way from what he gets from them and trade will resume on more fair ground.

Don't get crazy with this.

Lol, keep thinking like that...

Now go get those big bad Ruskies. We're all pulling for you down at the office.

We're already well past the crazy point. My comment has nothing to do with whether or not I think the UK would use nukes on us. I can't fathom anybody thinking this is funny and OK because they can arrive at "no nukes will actually be used."

We've fought and died side by side with these countries for a century, and our relations are now totally dogshit because orange man just wants to be able to claim meaningless political victories. And you find this entertaining. Y'all are crazy.

What did the Orange man do? Yes, it is very entertaining and hilarious.

I absolutely think it's hilarious someone running for the highest office in Canada would say such a thing.

And I seriously doubt our relations are as dogshit as you think. Just last week Trump and Starmer had a good meeting in the White House and were laughing with each other. Oh sure, he said some nasty things about Trump leading up to the election and I bet they disagree on a whole slew of policy topics, but he's also pragmatic enough to realize what the Trump victory meant and he's the devil he has to deal with.

This is something you and your liberal friends just don't get. Foreign leaders may think Trump is a total bastard and disagree with nearly everything he does. But they also know he's the bastard that got overwhelming elected and is very popular right now. Furthermore, they likely understand the American people, by and large, could care less what the world thinks of Trump.

Because he's OUR bastard.

Trump was very polite and nice, reminded the PM about all the great work UK intelligence did on Russia Gate and even complimented the British military that they probably wouldn't have a problem with the big bad Ruskies.

We're all pulling for the British, and we give a round of applause to the hard working and tough Canadians that provide support in the rear.

I have this feeling most world leaders tend to think of Trump like most citizens do or did with Howard Stern.

"Not sure what he's gonna say next, but I'll be listening for sure..."

Yeah and I don't think they "fear" him either. I think they just don't know how to handle a POTUS that doesn't bend over for them.

They know exactly how to handle a POTUS that doesn't bend over for them...

They will do what we want for a change. Like this whole idea some NATO members sending troops to the Ukraine front to start the peace process knowing full well they will not get American support. It's all bluster and it's not going to happen without us. But makes for good sound bites.

But in the end, they'll go along with whatever peace deal we come up with since they don't have to put in the work up front.

Yeah, no big deal just our closest allies and neighbors booing our national anthem and vice versa. Something I couldn't have fathomed a couple months ago. This is fine.

You do realize some of our own citizens boo the national anthem?

I'll wait for your outrage...

You think my problem is that I'm offended by disrespect to the national anthem? LOL

I do not care about that part. I care about the fact that the boos represent bad relations.
