They still need to cut spending significantly with all of these tax cuts. Some of this is questionable but it's promises to the voters. I've never understood why social security is taxed though.

That was my thought also. It's the reason why the Democrats have such awful numbers. They oppose Trump on even issues that the vast majority of Americans support including their own party. If you simply oppose everything then people stop listening.
