I get that part. Money grabs are expected. But the prices hike isn't due to tariffs (yet).Absolutely not, but some car dealerships will likely try to pull that BS. I saw some retailers do that back in Trump's first term when he enacted tariffs. They marked up prices on stuff already on their shelf on Day 1 the tariffs went into effect.
That's a crappily worded tweet then. "This 80k truck didn't instantly become a 100k truck". It will be more expensive in the future. Not today.
I’d probably buy a Tundra before I bought a RAM. And I won’t buy a Tundra.Ahh, gotcha. Then Ram will collapse if they raise prices 25%, it’s an already inferior product compared to its competition which I believe are all made domestically. I’m talking about full size trucks Ford, Chevy/GMC.
I went looking for a new F-150. My F-250 is 13 years old this month. Still a fantastic truck and only 84k miles. After spending an hour with the salesman looking at the product and pricing I told him there is no way in hell I’d buy any of their current offerings. I simply don’t want them. Bid him a good day and drove off and haven’t had another thought about a new truck.I think the US consumer has had it
Throw in EVs and the auto industry is in trouble
