as much as I agree with the sentiment, I'm not sure the house has that power.
Wrong.
If $80K was the previous list price then the addition of a 25% tariff would not change the selling price to $100K. I could respond immediately because I know how it works. That dealership is applying its standard markup on top of the incremental cost imposed by the 25% tariff (price gouging). No, that's literally it. The reporter showed a Jeep Compass before as context, showing the markup because it's made in Mexico. Then he went to the Ram and did the same math.
It's amazing to me that anybody would say "wrong" to me 3 seconds after I posted something accurate. You did no research. You just spouted off as if you know, not knowing fkn anything. Kick rocks, you waste of time.
Help me out here. The tariff is retroactive on products already imported???No, that's literally it. The reporter showed a Jeep Compass before as context, showing the markup because it's made in Mexico. Then he went to the Ram and did the same math.

Absolutely not, but some car dealerships will likely try to pull that BS. I saw some retailers do that back in Trump's first term when he enacted tariffs. They marked up prices on stuff already on their shelf on Day 1 the tariffs went into effect.Help me out here. The tariff is retroactive on products already imported???
