Why not? It’s their wall of fame or whatever they want to call it. I wouldn’t vote to put her into the national hall of fame but then there will be UConn fans who will. I never thought she lived up to her billing. Injuries played a part in that.
Just a part?

Paige Bueckers is the only player in NCAA this century, man or woman, to record over 2,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists while also shooting over 50% from the field, 40% from three-point range, and 80% from the free-throw line.

Paige Bueckers made history by becoming the first freshman woman to earn Associated Press Player of the Year honors.

Scored 1,000th career point in 55th career game, tying Maya Moore as the fastest Connecticut player to reach the milestone

You forgot the 2021 Hartford Rotary Club POY Award.

Just messing with you. PB is deserving of any designation Uconn wants to put on her, and she has been a great ambassador for the sport. Just let it slide when some folks try to take away from her career, it’s coming from nothing good.

If Paige was not plagued by injuries, she would be talked about more than Clark. She was a more rounded player than Clark. I am not sure how much her game has slipped because of injuries but I know she is not the same. She is better than most despite her regression in play if there was any. The girl is a beast and a killer player.

I do not know if her game has slipped or not, but statistically speaking, she hasn’t slipped, although you could argue that she hasn’t improved statistically either. Although, her turnovers have gone down considerably.

Unanimous vote. Blakes won 2nd place unanimously as well.

I have big doubts that would have been the case. Maybe it happens and I just haven't seen it because I admit I haven't watched Bueckers play a whole lot ...

But in the times I watched her play, even in her NPOY season, she never made my jaw drop or made me shake my head and say out loud, "DAYUM, GIRL!" like Clark did many, many times. I have never had that type of physical reaction to anything PB has ever done. Ever. And I watched no more of Clark's games than Bueckers'. It's just that Clark was uniquely bold and brazen and confident in a way that always stunned me. And so many times she played her best in the biggest games, which also blew minds across thecsports-watching world. That has, so far, not often been the case for PB.

So, no, IMO, even if PB had remained healthy her entire career she would not have stunned me (and likely most others) in the same ways Clark did.

Syracuse’s season ends with a mind-boggling awful loss to BC after leading by as much as 19!! Just a complete collapse that pretty much defines this entire season for them. Back to the drawing board for Coach Jack. Yeah.

And I paid for season tix this year and next. Ouch.

What's the Syracuse recruiting class look like for next season?

Nothing exceptional as far as I know.

Two of them are from New England one of them is from Georgia. Heights of 5’8, 6’, and 6’1 so at least they are bringing in some size. (Hopefully these girls can make layups and put-backs!!) As far as I can see they were mostly being recruited by mid-majors. Honestly, I haven’t paid much attention to it because obviously I’m more focused on UConn’s recruiting, so I’d need to do more homework to give a definitive take.

Just because they aren’t flashy recruits doesn’t mean they are bad, of course, but it would be nice if the program was able to attract some flashier recruits (who were being recruited by bigger schools). Anyone decently talented could be a huge star here, but I also don’t know what the NIL situation is like. I do see Syracuse WBB players in local ads on TV/billboards, so at least they are getting out there.

I do not think Stanford gets an invite , which would be the first NCAA tourney without them since 1986 ( maybe 1987). Second longest streak in the country behind yours truly, the Lady Vols. Will be curious to see if Paye can get the ship righted with her # 3 class coming in next season.
