The infrastructure was so bad and bottled water is a must. And I noticed early in my visit to Delhi that folks would pour the water into their mouths instead of putting their mouths on the spout of the bottle. I assumed for cleanliness/safety concerns - I’m not sure. But whatever the purpose, I mimicked the behavior the rest of the week.

We are blessed here to have the high quality of standards for both clean water AND proper sewage treatment. On top of that, our infrastructure is fairly young here in TN, which means even higher quality. Y’all be thankful for what we have.

Now, there are organizations like Engineers Without Borders that go and help places like this. I would love to have that chance eventually.

Just from my angle, env and sustainability are becoming big areas of need. I'm in automotive and our customers worldwide (GM, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, on down the list) are requiring we meet sustainability and environmental metrics just to continue to do business with them and the number of folks proficient in this area, especially the likes of soil's level of education, is still staggeringly small.

We struggle to have people that can really wrap their heads around it all, while also leveraging these opportunities into cost savings. The sweet middle spot.

Well I can’t recommend a fed job right now. Good people that are my counterparts getting axed only cause they were still on probation. One person with 20 years experience who just got promoted got axed.
