Quick and dirty will get you to 80%. The remaining 20% is the hard stuff, revisions/fixes, and perfection. This is how effective business works. Fail fast (as in, make the mistakes, fix them quick, don't make them again). It's really not a big deal and it's exciting to see it in government for once.Everything should be on the table and looked at/reviewed. This just appears to be the quick and dirty part of it.
They're like.... shouldn't we cancel the SpaceX contracts. I'm like.... okay why don't we look at all that. Heck, I'm fine with getting rid of all of NASA. (they think they are being rational and they actually believe they are hurting people's feelings)![]()
This stuff hasn't been standard practice for decades. He just makes things up and people cheerlead it
Misleading info is certainly SOP, and most people know to distrust politicians as a result. "This will be the last election" is purely made up but the skepticism of politicians vanishes for ElonSure it has. Spouting off lies is DC SOP. It's only different when the lies are particularly irritating to you because you harbor a grudge against the liar.

When a request for evidence (which everyone should agree on) is met with "Lol they're just SQUIRMING because they LOVE CORRUPTION" repeatedly then no, people are not skeptical; multiple posters in this very thread have said that if Elon tweeted that we were spending $17B teaching dolphins to play checkers, they would just believe himIt does? You've seen surveys and polling data which indicates people aren't skeptical of him?

The sample size here is really too small to make broad generalizations though. The other side believed Biden was mentally fit. Every issue, every confirmation hearing, every Congressional investigation is like this. Misleading info which ardent supporters proclaim as gospel is the norm. When a request for evidence (which everyone should agree on) is met with "Lol they're just SQUIRMING because they LOVE CORRUPTION" repeatedly then no, people are not skeptical; multiple posters in this thread have said that if he said we were spending $17B teaching dolphins to play checkers, they would just believe him
The Reuters thing also wasn't even based on a DOGE "finding," some Mario Nawfal misinformation idiot just speculated on Twitter and Elon fell for it
Because, uh...Dems have been running things the last four years and were soundly voted out. And no one has been minding the store since, uh...ever. Now form is being to be put to the void.Is it? They've given little evidence of the fraud, they're currently cutting deep into programs they don't understand, and so far many of their smoking gun claims have been proven false. They're not actually transparent and they're not trained to even do this sort of work. More, it's looking to be wholly unconstitutional. Congress appropriates funds. Unelected appointees don't get to cancel appropriations.
I'm not sure how all these Republican-supported programs are so rife with, uh...Democrat corruption?
No, I agree in general that the parties are different sides of the same coin and neither is better than the other, but the head of an "agency" falling for and regurgitating the dumbest misinformation there is and trying to create "HUGE SCANDALS" because he doesn't know the difference between Reuters and Thomson Reuters (or between Gaza and Africa) is not some consistent norm. MTG might fall for some of this stuff but no one takes her seriouslyThe sample size here is really too small to make broad generalizations though. The other side believed Biden was mentally fit. I'm surprised so many buy in to the political soap opera.

So having Tesla, Ford, GM, Toyota, and Nissan all competing in the EV market is preventing competition? Personally, I hate Chinese products and think it’s bad policy to strengthen our enemy buy growing their economy / war chest. JMOThe Chinese have several really nice ev at a much lower price point. They've also worked on swappable batteries. None of that is allowed to be sold in the US
Elon even said Tesla had no intention of production less expensive options.
