Reuters received far more money than this from US government organizations, but via various subsidiaries and intermediaries to hide how they were getting it.

This is just what @DOGE has found so far.

all im seeing is she admitted to checking one box filing for the state bar, clarified that it didnt mean she believed herself to be a tribesmember and apologizing for publishing the test due to the cherokee nation was offended because they don't believe DNA testing has any place in determining heritage, and they felt people joking about beating her test score was making a mockery of them.

I know on my father's grandmother's mothers side we were always told of Cherokee ancestry. Now when self identifying I never once, even as a child, thought to identify as Native American/indigenous. There are carve outs for sure....... But those that were taken came back long ago, at least those who wanted to according to their way of thinking.

My understanding is there is also a difference between the Eastern and Western bands in how they handle things.

Maybe because of the stories I was told as kid but I've always found indigenous people's fascinating. I spent a lot of my time as a younger man reading on their mythology and lore.
