While I never actually served, I have a great fondness of the military experience my Dad and Mom gave me at the end of a career in the military. The benefits certainly carried on into retirement. For me, until I was 22 and a senior in college. Being able to visit the greatest Air Bases around the world was absolutely priceless, almost literally

Same. My Pappaw and Dad each served 26 years USAF. It was great to always be welcome on base and see the whole country due to him moving every 4 years or so.
