Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2025-26

I just found out that if Texas and SC are tied at the end of the regular season, the regular season champion will be decided by a coin flip. Weird. The game at Texas is considered a 50/50 outcome by ESPN gamecast. Since both teams will have played an identical schedule, once against everyone else and twice against each other, it would come down to a coin toss should Texas win at home. This of course would only come into play if they both end up 15-1. I would have thought they would award them co champions and flipped the coin for #1 seed in the tourney if they didn’t go to margin of victory etc..

I have wavered over the years as to which is more important, reg season championship or SEC tourney championship. I favor the reg season championship because it is ultimately the longer haul/harder accomplishment imo.

Two-Team Tie

The following procedure will be used in the following order until the tie is broken:

  1. Won-lost results of head-to-head competition between the two teams.
  2. Won-lost record of the two teams versus the No. 1 seed (and proceeding through the No. 14 seed, if necessary).
  3. Coin flip by the Commissioner.

Ole Miss is giving the game away late. Needed Ole Miss to lose!! Ole Miss is so Jekyll and Hyde.
They are going to lose, at home, and that's very good for us.

Missouri is much better. LSU only beat them by about 15 and that margin was on late free thrrows. They stayed within about 10 most of the way.
