A little better yes but you lost the guy who carried you there in the first place. Most Points, rebounds and assists in the playoffs last year. Was clearly the best guy on the court against everyone except maybe SGA. Now you also have more holes in the starting rotation. Luka, Kyrie, PJ, Klay and Gafford was a good starting 5. Davis will slide to the 5 which will kick PJ out of the starting. And then you also slide someone like dindwindie as the starting guard. It’s a downgrade. Maybe you put Klay at SG, PJ at SF but then they’re gonna be exposed on defense

I mean you traded a top 5 player in the world that’s only 25… now you’re gonna have 4 of your main rotation be 31+. If they don’t win a championship this year they’re screwed

AD will play the 4. It would be Kyrie, Klay, PJ, AD, Gafford. Team defense improves. Offense should have a better flow bc the ball won't stick nearly as much. AD averages 25 plus you can now dominate within the paint which will lead to cleaner looks from the outside. Kryie is the key. He can do what Luka does (not to Luka's level but much much more efficient) and you add a dominate big playing his natural postion who is an all NBA and 1st team defensive player.

Klay and PJ will be exposed on defense in those roles. Kyrie can’t carry a team and neither can AD. AD has only played 60+ games 2 outta the last 6 seasons. They won’t last until the finals

This is along the lines of my thoughts. AD is a dominant player. When he's healthy. He seems to get hurt a lot.

If the Lakers are going to succeed, LeBron is going to have to check his ego. He's going to have to defer more to Luka, or thy won't be able to coexist. Which, for DK's sake, I hope they can make it work. I support my VFLs.

LeBron will ruin him. I don’t see that working out very well.

If I’m Luka, I’m already requesting to be traded again.

Luka takes over as Face of Lakers, LeBron might retire after this season if not definitely after next season.

Honestly I believe DK will be part of the next package of a trade before Thursday deadline. Lakers need a big and DK and Reaves could get shipped out in the deal.

Doesn't he need to stick around a couple of seasons, so the Lakers have a reason to keep Bronny? If he retires, they are cutting Bronny's ass.

Not sure they would trade DK or Reaves.

It depends on Bron. He has a clause but he can waive that for the right packages.

LeBron and Luka aren’t a good match. You trade LeBron to the Warriors (rumors) take some of their young talent and surround Luka with it since he’s only 25.

Keep Reaves and DK to play with Luka. It’s a long term play for the Lakers.

Now if they keep LeBron and those were just rumors. I’d maybe get rid of Dorian and whatever first round picks I had left to go get Jarret Allen.

Reaves, Luka, Bron, Rui and Allen wouldn’t be a bad lineup. You just wouldn’t have a bench lol. I’m hoping they lean toward trading LeBron and just surround Luka with young talent.

Wonder what happens with the basketball rankings this week? The 3 teams in front of us lost yesterday and numerous teams behind us lost. Of all those teams, we had the better win and the better loss. I don’t see how we drop this week, and we may even move up a spot or 2. We will see. Would be huge to be around 6-8 after making it through this difficult part of the schedule. Have to focus and beat Mizzou Wednesday. They are playing pretty good ball right now.
