1. we aren't under siege or under attack like we were in WW2. that is minimizing the shite out of those events. We can be in a bad spot, and not rely on dramatics. When nations are invaded and go to war to remove the invaders there are quotas and goals to eliminate the foreign invaders. Were nations concerned about overreach when clearing their nation of German or Japanese military and civilian invaders in ww2? We imprisoned thousands of Japanese people in America during WW2 (after 3 Japanese immigrants in Hawaii immediately attempted to aid a crash landed Japanese pilot who had just attacked Pearl Harbor: Niihau incident - Wikipedia) Sometimes harsh action must be taken and you can't sit and moralize everything while your nation is under siege. Internment camps were a police state action taken during WW2 but it may have saved many American lives.
and you think the government is going to conveniently stop something when the justification ends? were you born yesterday? If they didn’t already have quite a substantial list of known illegals to work through and would just have to grab people off the streets as you say, I would agree with you that a quota is bad. Have you noticed ICE knew exactly where to go to make arrests and who they were grabbing and what their crimes are?
If they worked all 365 days per year, that's only 657,000 deportations annually. Given the fact that there were easily over 10 million illegals entering the country during Biden's criminal regime, 1,800 per day doesn't even scratch the surface of what is needed.quotas on arrests is never a good thing.
If I’m president and ICE has a list of, let’s say, 1,000,000 illegals and their known whereabouts, giving a quota for arrests of those folks is simply a workflow goal. He’s not saying go out and just start grabbing people.and you think the government is going to conveniently stop something when the justification ends? were you born yesterday?
if they know about them, why does there need to be the quota? just grab them.
I see it like for-profit prisons. they have quotas too, and the government has no problem arresting people over whatever crime they can make up on the spot to fill them.
its not the number I have a problem with. its having a quota itself. If they worked all 365 days per year, that's only 657,000 deportations annually. It's not really a "buyout" because you keep working, and get paid until September because you keep working, which makes it pretty dumb for most to accept thisTrump Administration Offers Buyouts To Federal Employees, Including Remote Workers: 'Deferred resignation'
The window to take advantage of the program runs Jan. 28 through Feb. 6
The Trump administration is offering buyouts for nearly all federal employees, including those who work remotely, as part of President Donald Trump’s efforts to get employees back into the office, but they only have until Feb. 6 to opt-in.
During Trump’s first week in office, he issued several directives to the federal workforce, including a requirement that remote employees must return to in-person work.
"After four years of incompetence and failure, President Donald Trump is committed to making our government efficient and productive again," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement on Tuesday. "American taxpayers pay for the salaries of federal government employees and therefore deserve employees working on their behalf who actually show up to work in our wonderful federal buildings, also paid for by taxpayers.

The Trump administration told federal employees in an email that they are required to return to the office, and for those who don't, they will be offered buyouts.www.foxnews.com

The majority- if not all- being deported are pretty much known to be illegal. Their statuses have already been defined in the process of prosecuting them or identifying them for crimes they've otherwise committed. The whole thing is quite insane. If you have a rough estimate of how many criminals their is, than you have to setup realistic goals to arrest them, process, and evict them.
Is someone really worried they're going to get pickup by INS improperly? I'm sure it happens, but as long as due process is followed than in theory the chances are very small.
are you ok with the government coming by and picking you up for any ole reason, as long as they get it right in the un-defined "end"?The whole thing is quite insane. Wouldn't a legal resident getting picked up incorrectly be a violation of due process and their civil rights? The whole thing is quite insane. If you have a rough estimate of how many criminals there is, than you have to setup realistic goals to arrest them, process, and evict them.

Wouldn't a legal resident getting picked up indirectly be a violation of due process and their civil rights?
When someone had a quota they're likely to try very hard to meet that. Rules may not be as important as the number

Becuase I don't have to show anything. That's the lawHow could it be incorrect due process and civil rights if all They have to do is show proper evidence of citizenship? You’re that worried for their feels?

Not true. Due process applies to every part, even arrest (probable cause)Due process gives you an opportunity to defend the action, not necessarily mean you can't be accused. If you were not given due process you would simply be put on a flight to Mexico or shot.
They should try hard and smarter i.e. improving. This isn't manufacturing crimes, these are crimes we reasonable already know have been committed. Now, if Trump said I need you to pick up 1800 murderers a day, you might have a better point. If mistakes are made, you learn from them and improve..... but the key is to keep moving.
