Trump promises and proposals tracking thread.

The way the 14th Amendment is written doesn't seem to give any wiggle room for interpretation in bringing an end to the birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants.

The best thing to do is deport the parents and put the child up for adoption. That is unless the parents want to take the kid with them.

I love this argument because it is literally the exact opposite of what the Maga's argued. they said the Epstein list would have been released by Biden if Trump's name was on it.
Interesting premise - would Biden torch Clinton and some other powerful Dems in order to hurt Trump?

I think if they knew how Nov 5th was going to go without the information they certainly would have released it.

But I really think they were cocky enough to think they could pull off the bait and switch.

also I don't think Trump is one of the bad Epstein clients.

I'm not so sure I believe there's a sure-fire sex-offender list. And probably some apprehension about releasing lists that could defame. We've already seen flight logs, but these are explained away by his "friends".

Stephen Hawking was the biggest offender.

what caught Epstein was the child sex stuff, it was the money, the child sex stuff came out later.

Epstein had legitimate business relationships with people, it wasn't all Epstein Island tourism keeping him afloat. Trump is one of those legitimate ones. at least based on the info we currently have.

so you are right, defamation is an issue, especially with the current atmosphere of public opinion damning someone without all of the facts. just because your name shows up in association with Epstein, or even on his flight plans, doesn't mean you were into kids. I am sure there is overlap, but to be as big and successful as Epstein was he had to have had a good number of legitimate business with people.

Yeah, it's complicated. Prince Andrew is almost definitely on this list, but do you really want to insinuate that he had sex with underage girls if you can't prove it? I doubt that list ever sees the light of day.

So you are going to penalize the residents for something the politicians created?
WTH? You were talking about the politicians and the mess they made and claiming it was not appropriate to admonish them for horrible mismanagement. Well, why would anyone hand those idiots any assets to deal with the disaster when they have pretty much proven they haven't enough sense to mow grass? Find another way or guide them firmly, with the carrot and/or stick, to do better.

Trump is quickly following through on a ton of campaign promises. Love or hate him, everyone has to be impressed with how rapidly he’s hit the ground running.
Trump is governing by way of executive orders, just like he did in his first term, after he had been very critical of Barack Obama for using executive orders as "power grabs."

^^^^ This was from 2019. ^^^^

Let me know when he actually gets some legislation passed this time. That didn't happen much in the first term.

Of course not. There were fake Russian probes and impeachments going on the entire time. How’d those work out?

That's a pretty lame excuse for being such a hypocrite. When Obama signed sweeping executive orders they were "power grabs by a wannabe dictator." Trump does the same thing and we get crickets chirping.

In his first two years in office, with similar Republican majorities in both chambers of Congress, Trump got very little legislation through. The problem with executive orders is that they don't always hold up under judicial scrutiny, and even when they do, they can be quickly overturned with a change in power.

Maybe we can do away with the filibuster like the dims wanted and get something done.

See the tracker on the first posts of this thread.
So he ended birthright citizenship which goes against the Constitution, pardoned criminals, ended DEI in govt, took some peoples security clearance, and deported radicals. And that's what you're celebrating?

I fail to see how any of that does anything to help the problems facing average Americans. Inflation, grocery prices, housing being unaffordable, cheap gas.....where is all that ?

Brother, you asked for a list, the first page had a list. I thought that would be helpful for you.

I wasn’t celebrating anything, I was simply trying to be helpful.

No good deed….

List them
Border more secure
Deportations
Investigating and eliminating some wasteful spending (he's going to spend a metric **** ton don't get me wrong)
Hamas-Israel (Senior Biden level officials gave him credit)
Blowing up federal DEI

That's what I give him credit for so far regarding coming through on his campaign promises. Not saying you agree with these. But the topic at hand was him following through on campaign promises
