Welcome to enlightenment. That’s the whole point. Take them at their word and roll up the toll accordingly.

The claim was day 1. That had come and past. Promise not kept.

If/when he does end it that’s fundamentally a promise kept.

And do it for all prior and future POTUS also.

It wasn't a shot at you and I actually like the thread...but generally no POTUS has been held to the same... generally people understand hyperbole and campaign speeches and never before took everything as serious..never had there been a lie tracker etc...as I said maybe we should have held all our POTUS to this.level, we'd be in a different place social wise..also..for the first time I agree with LG..ending Russia Ukraine was a longshot and never gonna happen on that timeline..now if he halts funding to Ukraine..that'll end the war but more importantly the end of our involvement..does that count??

Probably not, but the truth is I don’t care. If his “it’ll be done in one day!” Really just means “I’ll get it done quick and it’ll be a major priority of my administration”, why would I complain?

In a perfect world, he wouldn’t exaggerate. But as long as he gets results, no one will care.

I couldn’t imagine anyone complaining because “he said he’d do it in 1 day and it took a week!”

I didn't take what you posted as a shot. No worries.
As we created the thread, we didn't make any subjective judgement about the promises. We just simply recorded them for comparison to what he actually does/doesn't do.
Whether ending war was a long shot or not doesn't matter to me. He promised it and it worthy of tracking.
If yall want to give him credit for him ending the war 6 months later (for example) that's fine with me.

But yes. No reasonable person would complain. He does exaggerate. I’ve learned how he talks as others have mentioned. It’s funny watching the media, because they haven’t learned their lesson. Like when he said we’ve experienced record inflation over the last several years. He got fact checked. “Well. Actually. The record for inflation in America occurred…”. No one cares!!! Normal people speak in general terms. So when he says “Record inflation” or “Day 1” or “The greatest” or “The worst” etc. His haters love to pounce on those things but ultimately no one cares. As you stated, if he gets a resolution quickly, people won’t complain.

We agree on this also. If he does end the war and the MSM tries “but it took you longer than a day” they will look like pedantic idiots and Trump and his surrogates will rightly crucify them.

He has no control over whether wars ends or not....that's up to Russia and Ukraine...so no matter what it's a broken promise cuz we are not at war with either of them.
