I have to say that I agree with you here. Problem is that the left has expanded federal power to such a ridiculous extent over the last 20 years (yes, Bush is part of the left) that it has completely emasculated the idea of states' rights.

My whole point here is if a state or municipality wants to tell the Feds to piss off and harbor illegal aliens, then cut federal funding. If they have all this cash laying around let them spend it.
