A couple questions:
1) Then penalties on coaches if they “encourage” a kid to the portal?
Or if that’s not allowed…
2) You’re taking away a year of eligibility for a kid if a coach basically tells him he’ll never crack the depth chart after Y1. He could transfer somewhere else and play.
Never mind that pesky winning percentage stat. They're also #3 in NET.
No metric uses AP rankings, more fluid and reasoned than that.
I'm guessing 5 Quad 2 wins helps them, as do margins and very close losses. Losing by 30 will haunt us a bit, but hey we're still #4 in NET and that's the standard regardless.
I do believe so, I’ll ask@Ericvol2096 @jvols1999 do you know, is there a way to denote and ensure that my donations to the school and vol club go directly to football player NIL? Donations to the school can be football specific, but I don’t think NIL specific (which I find odd given our commitment to being a leader in the NIL space, though maybe it’s not odd since the university doesn’t technically direct funds to NIL or rev share at this time). Donations to vol club, I’m not aware of how to make football specific. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Prayers for all!Brothers and sisters, I am asking that you please take a little time out of your day to think of my daughter's good friend Ellie. She's been friends with her since they were 3 and they are 20 now. Ellie was recently diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma and her PET scan revealed it is already at Stage 4 and has spread to her spine, arm and leg. This young lady has been to my home many times and my daughter has also been to hers. Her family are great people and this is devastating and heartbreaking for all of us. Anything positive you can send will be mightily appreciated. She is at St. Judes, so we know she will get the best care possible. Thank you.

Not much different than NFL contracts. You can cut a player that's not performing and they can go anywhere. They're still getting paid if they're not cracking the depth chart if they're on the roster. I'm sure x amount would be guaranteed in their contracts.
Prayers for healing for that young lady. Also prayers for your daughter that God will guide her in dealing with this personally and helping her friend along the way. Woah…My 15yo was showing me some random social media post and because I'm the kind of putz I am, I commented on the frequency of "whoa" being misspelled as "woah".
She wasn't having it. I showed her "whoa" in the dictionary and the lack therein of "woah". She said, "I don't care. Look," and proceeded to show me example after example of online woahs, as if that settled the issue.
That's when I realized she was right, for all practical purposes. In her world accuracy and correctness are negligible crowdsourced assumptions that take precedence over stale old boomer dogmatism. And English being the living language it is, a decade from now "woah" will be shown in the dictionary as an alternate spelling of "whoa".
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
