Boo Carter "Having conversations about his future" [He’s staying]

If he wants to stay at a price or a demand the powers that pay find reasonable, then whatever. If he wants to go, then so be it.

If life has taught me one thing, it’s that Alabama sucks.

If if’s taught me two, you never negotiate without being able to walk away - because if you can’t walk away then you aren’t negotiating.

So we have a player meeting with coaches the day before the portal closes making position demands and leaking it.

Same player who took a trip to Colorado last year after being committed.

I could see Deion somehow tampering with other teams players. I think if Colorado was in the SEC, there is no way Travis Hunter is on the field that many plays. The physical demand is much different than the Big 12.

I would hate to lose him but would seriously advise him to go play for coach Prime.

Prime has proven he will cater to playmakers. Heupel requires you fit into his system and adaptability is a real concern.

I actually emailed Adam Sparks (Knox News) halfway through the season and asked him if the Vols could use Boo on offense.
If he wants to go the Travis Hunter route, why not let him?
His punt returns make it clear he can be electric with the ball in his hands.
This is such a no brainer. If we lose him over this, it’s time to rethink our approach. Boo is one of the few players on the roster who has NFL star player talent

Champ Bailey did this in the SEC in the late 90's, led his team in receiving and was an all SEC player on defense. There are others before Hunter too.
It can be done. Let him prove it. What's to lose?

What a great advert for UT. Come ball out here. We'll make you great on both sides of the ball

you lose a great DB and make him average as he has to split time in both rooms

I see alot of y'all saying pay him or give him what he wants...if he's not committed to UT then leave...if you start doing this for players they'll be a line of other players demanding the same thing or they're leaving...what do you do then? The players although it does seem like it now don't run the program, the more talented they are the more power they think they have and they do in the current state of CFB...you can't be a fan of any player on your team because they might be gone next season....sad

Says who? Why would he automatically be average? I didn't see Hunter as average. We didn't know. Kid was outstanding in HS as receiver. Let him prove it
Film study and practice time would be cut in half. You want him to catch passes but allow more passes to be caught? Our DB's are just now starting to be able to cover, still no where near where we need them to be.

High school kids can rely on pure talent. It was easy for him to cover high schools because they were not D1 receivers. After what OSU just did to our secondary, are you sure you want to take players away from practice time?

At the cost of a less secure secondary? Never allow a player to hold you hostage. If he wants to walk because of this....fine let him walk
