Democrats Target McDonald’s for Price Gouging After Trump Served Customers

View attachment 690128

Senate Democrats attacked McDonald’s on Tuesday for price gouging while it continues to “grow” profits and serve the needs of customers.

The letter, written by Sens. Ron Wyden (D-OR), Bob Casey (D-PA), and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), underscores the success of former President Donald Trump’s campaign stop on Sunday when he worked a McDonald’s drive-thru window in Pennsylvania.

Threatening a private company with government oversight is tyranny. Anyone who supports the Democratic Party in any way, supports this.

So I assume you're opposed to the SEC, which, through its oversight of corporate disclosures, has created the most robust and trusted stock markets in the world?

It's football season. You shoulda used a different example. Took me too long to connect SEC and stock market.

He should do himself and all of us a favor and step down/retire.
Long past due, I agree. Congress is about seniority, power and influence. Keeping McConnel in office, kept a power broker in Congress. His actions kept the Wheels from falling off the train.
He and Graham thought they could keep Trump on the Republican agenda without the shenanigans and run this country from their perspective. Both needed to Retire several years ago as others have or have chosen to work from behind the scenes. Their support for Trump was about their self perseverance nothing more.

The results were good and bad. More bad results than good. One is the split in the Republican party. The bias but solid Supreme Court. Now one regrets his decision and the other is neutral like Switzerland. Both are wanting the old Republican party.

I guess one should ask the question Who is the real RINO here? Graham, McConnel or Trump?

These are entities set up to protect investors and is authorized by Congress to do so. These threats to a private business made by US senators has nothing to do with regulatory oversight because they allowed a presidential candidate access to one of their restaurants. Not only that but threatened them with with something that is not even legal or at a minimum questionably legal. The Democratic Party is the closest thing to tyranny this country has seen since Abe Lincoln.

People that live/recreate in fiberglass houseboats/center consoles shouldn't throw stones.
You're not going to find me demeaning anyone working to try and better themselves. Because of me working hard many times without a salary, prohibit be from calling out someone who disrespects low income, blue collar workers? Says a lot in how you view those folks.

He is getting paid to post the crap he does.
No he's just one of the extremely low info voters who spends his days in an echo chamber. No real idea what's going so he reposts other people's ideas in hopes it was an intelligent thought.

Kinda like the Franklin Pierce poster, when forced to use their own words it's clear there are no actual ideas

McDonald's is franchised. One franchisee had Trump come on property. To think that the Dems are trying to penalize the franchise because of this is insane.
